Constructing the design

Using the faded original sign as a reference, the design was carefully redrawn and scaled up to create the artwork for the restoration. Close attention was paid to the construction of the original letterforms, and a strong understanding of period appropriate lettering ensured the design remained faithful to the period of the original signs execution. Even where slight differences appear, the final result reflects the style and character of the original sign, preserving its historic integrity while giving it new life.
