Steady Studio is the work of Lance Corlett, driven by a deep passion for traditional sign painting, lettering and gilding. Since 2012 Lance has dedicated himself to the craft. Studying with some of the world’s leading artists, he continually refines his techniques and pushes for the highest level of craftsmanship.
Lance specialises in traditional gilded signs and takes great pride in executing this work to the highest level. With a deep respect for the traditions, techniques and tradespeople who have come before him, he strives to honour their knowledge and skill in every piece he creates. Lance is also passionate about keeping these traditional skills alive by sharing knowledge and helping raise the standard of craftsmanship within the trade.
Drawing on years of experience and an extensive range of traditional techniques, Steady Studio creates considered, hand crafted work for a range of spaces. Steady Hand Studio takes pride in celebrating the rich tradition of gold leaf gilded signage, executing each piece with the highest level of craftsmanship. These signs showcase a brilliance unmatched by any other medium.
Mural Painting
Our murals explore a full spectrum of techniques and materials, blending traditional mural painting with experimental approaches. Each piece is crafted uniquely to bring depth, texture, and visual interest to the space.
Hand Lettering
A hand lettered logo is truly unmatched in character and nuance. Each letter being shaped by the hand of the artist, allowing for subtle variations, flow, and personality that cannot be replicated using fonts.
We had the pleasure of working with Lance from Steady Studio on the signage for Osborn House, and the results were outstanding. From concept to installation, the team delivered with precision, creativity, and professionalism. A special shoutout to Lance, who was truly amazing throughout the entire process, he was so responsive, detail oriented, and a real collaborator. The signage has elevated the guest experience and perfectly complements the design of the hotel. Couldn’t recommend them more highly!
