A Gilded Shopfront

Greene & Greene Antiques have been a cornerstone of Sydney’s antiques world for over 40 years, dealing in fine jewellery, silver, porcelain and furniture chosen for quality and lasting design. When it came time to dress their new shopfront, they turned to a craft with equally deep roots. The brief called for their logo to be traditionally hand painted and gilded in 23 karat gold leaf hat catches the light as only genuine gold leaf can.

There is a natural kinship between the antiques trade and the sign painter’s craft , both built on hand skills, lasting materials, and work made to endure. For a business whose philosophy centres on pieces that have stood the test of time, it felt entirely right that their signage should be made the same way.
